i was a little nervous too, partially because we pretty much only know each other in the camp setting and sometimes when you take that common bond away youre not really sure how to act around each other. i was also nervous because i didnt really know anyone, i had met her fiance when they were just dating when he came and visited and i had gone to dland with most of her family for a day, but i didnt really know them and didnt know any of the wedding party. everyone was great, her family, the other bridesmaids as well as the groomsmen. i had a blast. i was also kinda nervous because i was traveling alone up to oregon and would have to stay in a hotel room by myself the last night and get myself up and to the airport for my 5 am flight.
it all ended up being so great and i wish i could have stayed longer and just hung out with everyone, i feel like if we all lived in the same area (all of the groomsmen were from the east coast) we would have all been friends in real life. it felt natural and authentic. sure things were a little awkward sometimes and sure my dress didnt fit perfectly but who cares! oh and also...i may or may not have broken my bouquet and kicked a groomsmen during a jumping picture before the ceremony...oh well! i cannot wait to see the professional pictures, we took our pictures at this gorgeous bed and breakfast...ahhh i cant wait! i keep checking the photographers blog, hoping to catch a glimpse.
it all just makes me look forward to wedding number 3 this summer, people are already likening me with the movie 27 dresses, but really, compared to many many girls at my school...im just beginning! i love weddings. i love what they mean. i love the preparation. i love the day. i love the decor. i love the dresses. it is such a special day and i love having the honor of sharing in it with my friends. i cant wait until it is my day and they are all there to share in it with me.
so lets hope the old saying isnt true... "always a bridesmaid..."
