CCA and FYCP staff <3
camp really was amazing, i have been telling people that it was probably one of the best summers of my life. i worked on a staff that truly became a family, we laughed together, cried (many times) together, grew together, worked together, ate together...lived life together. i made friends that will be with me always. i got to work with jr high and high school girls, something that i had never done before and i loved it, absolutely loved it. it was awesome making an impact in so many lives. i think most of the time i learned more from them than they learned from me.

dance party!
something that was cool for me was that i was so totally out of my comfort zone and God met me there. where i was lacking He was sufficient. on a sillier note...it was nice to find out that people really like me :] all too often i compare myself to my friends, mostly my sister who are all the very best people i know and i feel like i fall short of all that they are. other times i feel like all of my friends just come from association, that they really dont like me all that much but they just hang out with me because theyre friends with linds or some of my other friends. while i did have a few friends on staff (my awesome roommate jessie being one of them) i wasnt reliant on them to cultivate more relationships. i was able to truly be myself (which actually doesnt happen all that often with people) and have people enjoy my company. it was amazing!
now i am at school living in a Biola run apartment that is seafoam green with a pool and i love it. i am with 3 amazing girls, we get along so well and are having a great time staying up late and talking or just being goofy together. we are learning to cook and clean and live semi-independently. my roommate jessie just got engaged saturday and so wedding planning has begun in full force, its something that i really love doing, it brings me joy to see her so happy!
roomies!
